PAST CONTINOUS



It's formed by the verb to be in past + the verb ending in -ing.



Affirmative:

I was playing

You were playing

He/she was playing

It was playing

We were playing

You were playing

They were playing



Negative:

I not/wasn't jumping

You weren't jumping

He/she wasn't jumping

It wasn't jumping

We weren't jumping

You weren't jumping

They weren't jumping



Interrogative:

Was I eating?

Were you eating?

Was He/she/ it eating?

Were we eating?

Were you eating?

Were they eating?



Answer:

Yes, I was eating

No, you wasn't eating

Yes, he/she/it was eating

No, we/you/they weren't eating
