Italy

The last march 25th, the ESO 4 class went to Italy. We visited Barcelona, Pisa, Rome, "Venezia" and "Firenze". Our boat landed at 10 o'clock, but it was delayed, and we went to Italy at 2 a.m. of the next day. The boat was really good, but it was moving all the time, and all of us were feeling bad. The first day in Italy, we visited Rome (the coliseum, the Trevi fountain, and a lot of important places of Rome). That night we sleept on the bus. The next day we went to "Venezia", in "Venezia" we took an "espresso" and a "Gondola", we visited Saint Marco's square, rhe Rialto's bridge and all the city, "Venezia" was exciting, and I love the venice mask's. At seven o'clock in the afternoon we went to Firenze, and we slept ina nice hotel. We stayed two days in the hotel and in Firenze, but it was raining a lot, and we couldn't visit many things. That night we went to a little disco near the hotel. The following day, early the morning, we went to visit Pisa, we espected that Pisa was bigger than it really was but it was nice too. That night we took the boat to come back to spain. On the boay we had problems with a group of Italian guys. Our last travel in Escuela 2 has been fantastic.

We will always remember the "cinquecento", Canfauli, and all things we did there, and specialy the teachers and class mades.

On-Line Games

The On-Line games, are a type of video games played with an other people on Internet. The most important "On-Line" games actually are:

World of Warcraft (WoW): World of Warcraft it's a "MMORPG" (massively multiplayer online role-playing games), in World of Warcraft, you control a character of the differentes races, at the start of the game, you choose a race (Humans, Gnomes, Night Elves, Dwarves, Draeneis, Orcs, Taurens, Trolls, Not-Dead, Blood Elves) and a class (Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Paladin, Druid, Mage, Shaman, Priest, Warlock, Death Knight). Also this, you can choose a profession.

After selecting this, you can fight with monsters (controlled by the computer) or with other persons, you can get objects, sell, buy, work etc.

The best of this game is the interaction with the other characters.

StarCraft (SC): Starcraft it's a "strategy" game, this game is different of the others, because you don't controll a character (you controll a group of soldiers, a buildings, tanks etc.).

You can choose one of three races, and you have to defeat the other players (controlled buy computer or by people) or complete an objective, the strategy to win depends of the race:

Zerg: The zerg are aliens similars to a insects, they haven'got technology, but have a very good production.

Protoss: Protos are aliens but more developed than the Zergs, and with aspect very futurist. They have the best technology of the game, and the worse production.

Terran: The Terran are humans of the space, and have a good technology and quick production.

Second Life (SL): Second Life is a On-Line game based on the "avatars", the avatars are a recreations of the people in the virtual space, each avatar haves the name, aspect, clothes, style etc. similars to he real representation. With your avatar, you can speak and communicate with others avatars. Also you can do the activities and the tasks that you do in the real live. For example: Work, run, eat, speak, buy a house, buy a car, take a taxi, have sex with other avatars, etc.

Second Life haves his own money, the "Linden ($L)". With this money you can buy new clothes or bulidings, food etc.

Second Life it's one of the most importants "virtual spaces" in the world, and have replications of politics, companies, musics etc.

Counter-Strike (CS): Counter Strike is a "First Action Game", in this game you control a terroris or a counter terroris. If you are a Counter Terrorist you'll have to kill the terrorist, rescue the hostages or desactivate the bomb (depends of the mision), and if you are a terrorist, you'll have to kill the counter-terrorists, put and protect the bomb or avoid the rescue of the hostages. Counter Strike is the onte of the most popular on-line games in the world. And is the most played, because you can play only a game, in te others when you play more, you have the best character, the best objects etc. Not in Counter-Strike.

Vladimir Ilich Uliànov (Lenin)

Vladimir Ilich Ulianov "Lenin" was born in April 22 of 1870 in Russia, and he was died in January 21of 1924. He was an russian communist politician and a revolutionary. Was created a theory based on "Marxism" of Karl Marx. He put these theories in practice during the October Revolution.

When Lenin were young, he's brother Aleksander was captured and killed by the soldiers of Russian Zar. At this moment, Lenin starts to adopted revolutionary thinks, this year Lenin was captured by the same soldiers of Aleksander, and was placed under policial surveillance. Lenin starts write about political, economic and social situation, and develops his theory about the Marxism. Because of this, is exiled to Switzerland. When the first world war started, the fame of Lenin increase.

In 1917 Lenin causes the October Revolution. In the first part, the "Bolcheviques" and "Mencheviques" overthrowing the Russian Zar, and in the second part, the "Bolcheviques" and Lenin cause armed insurrection a takes the power of the government, and creates a new communist (Marxist-Leninist) govern, and a new group of different states, the USSR. This government was during until 1991.

The principal symbol of this ideology was fallen in 1991 (the USSR), but the original idea of Lenin stills survive in a differents political parties.

William the Ockham was a franciscan friar and philosopher. Was born in 1280/1288 and was died in 1349. He dead from black plague.

Ockham developeds a complicated philosophical thought, this brought him into conflict with catholicism in occasions.

The Occams Razor is a theroy created by William Ockham, the theroy explains this: "es entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem" (In the same conditions, the simplest solution is probably the correct), this theory is aplicated to: economy, theology, linguistics, informatics and in any problem of the normal life.

Germany is a country of central Europe, his capital is Berlin, it's a member of the European Union, NATO, G-8, G-4 and United Nations. It's the third most rich country in the world and is the most populated country in Europe.

History

The most recent history of Germany, is a black history, because from 1914 until 1918, Germany fights in the first wold war, and lose the war, and forced him to sign a treaty that gave his fortune. After this, from 1933 until 1945, Adolf Hitler governs Germany, and make a nacional socialist and racial dictatorship. All the Jjws in Germany were killed or expelled, and Hitler starts the Second World War,

Germany again, loses this war, and it's dividied in two pieces: BRD (Federal Republic of Germany) and DDR (German Democratic Republic). The first is captured by american soldiers, and takes the Capitalist system. The second belongs to soviet soldiers, and takes the Communist system. The two sides are separated by a wall. On the 9 October of 1989 fall down the Berlin wall, and the two pieces of Germany makes only one again.

Germnay are one of the most important countries in the world, because have the most important sciencist of the world, and have a good economy, climate and environment.

Michael Fred Phelps (born 30 June, 1985) in Baltimore, Maryland.

When he was young, was diagnosed with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorderntion. He start to swimming at seven years old, because a solution for outlet his energy.

He was debuted with 15 years old in an Olympic Games (Sydney, 2000), but he wasn't won any.

Five months after the Sydney Olympics, Phelps broke the world record in the 200 m butterfly to become, at 15 years and 9 months, the youngest man ever to set a swimming world record.

He brokes another time his own record at the 2002 Summer Nationals in Fort Laudale

In 2003, Phelps broke a new record, and broke another time his own record.

In the year 2004, Phelps was playing the Olympic Games of Atenas, he won six gold medls and two bronze medals.

At the 2007 World Championship , Phelps won seven gold medals, tying the record, and broke five world records. The 4x100 m medley relay team.

But his best performance was in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Michael won eight gold medals, he becomes the best swimmer and atlet of the Olympic Games History with 14 gold medals and 2 bronze medals.

Michael Phelps have the perfect phyisical to swim, because he's long and due his hyperactivity he can swim without tire.

Mallorca

This summer i was in Mallorca with Edu, Mallorca have the bests beachs of Europe and mountains. I like this, because you had the beach stuck on the mountain, and you could go to the two sites. The beaches had water completely transparent and were well cared, were also of different types: rock, sand etc.

We were in a camp, we had a vantage point from which hearings were wonderful (photo). -->

Isaac Asimov (January 2, 1920-April 6, 1992) was born in Petrovichi (Russia) but at 1923 he and his family emigrate to New York, he grow in Brooklyn. He starts to read at the 5 yeras old. Asimov studied biochemistry in 1939 at the University of Columbia. In 1942 he works at Philadelphia shipyards for the Second World War. He starts to write in 1939.

Isaac Asimov was a great writer of Science Fiction, is considered the best Science Fiction writer of the XX century. Also Science Fiction, Asimov write about: Science, history, mistery, fantasy and poethry.

My Favourite Books of Isaac Asimov:

Foundation, Foundation and Empire, Second Foundation: It's a saga based on a scientist who has been able to anticipate everything that will happen in the next thousand years.

Lucky Star: It's another saga based in a ranger of the space, consists of: David Starr, Space Ranger, Lucky Starr and the pirates of astheroids, Lucky Starr and the oceans of venus, Lucky Starr and the big sun of Mercury, Lucky Starr and the moons of Jupiter and Lucky Starr and the Rings of Saturn.

The Naked Sun: It's a police history based in an investigator and a robot. They travel to a world where people have never had contact with other people.

The End of the Ethernity: It's a novel based in travels around the time.

The God Themeselves: For me is the best novel of Isaac Asmimov, in this history, a group of sciencists exchange energy with an other universe, but gradually the world was dying.

FALLAS

Fallas it's a typical Valencian celebration/tradition in which burning monuments of paperboard and wood, Fallas are an escultures made and painted by hands.

A part of last Fallas i went to my village (Requena) to visit my grandmother, my uncles and my cousins. In Requena i met the friends of my cousins.

An other part i stay at Valencia with mi friends.

In Fallas i eated "friters" with chocolate, launched firecrackers, and a lot of more things...

The last day i can't saw burn any "Falla" because i don't like Fallas, i like the holidays of Fallas!

Like every year, the best Falla wins a prize, this year the winner was Nou Campanar, because is the most expensive Falla of all.

This year i don't saw many Fallas, because i don't stay at Valencia enough.

In my opinion i like the Fallas because in Fallas i have holidays, but, i don't like the tradition because the monument and the "ninots" are more pollulants (and this contributes to Greenhouse Effect) and are more expensive.

Christmas Night: I was in the Christmas night in my grandmother house, here we reuned all family. And we eat, drink and speak every night. This moment was the best moment of the christmas, because it’s the first time that we are together.

New Year Night: In the New Year night i am again in my grandmother house, but in this occasion the night was very borried, because were not my cousins and only are a small part of my family.

My school is Escuela 2. It's a small school in Valencia. There are 350 students approximately. The age of the students are 3-16 years old. In my school we know everybody.

In the school I study a lot of subjects: English, Spanish, Valencian, Physical Education, Physics & Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Geography & Story, Music, Mathematics, Guidance and Plastic.

Starcraft is a computer game, is of the sort of strategy.

This Summer, in Vnezuela has been celebrated, the America's Football Cup. SUMMER FIRE'S

This summer, in all world, there have been great fires, these are the different places in which some of the greatest fires of this summer.

Athens: In Athens there was one of the greatest and more numerous fires of all Europe, people were scared of which an historical city as Athens were burned. In this fire died 46 bombers and civilians.

Croatia: In Croatia, there were some of the most complicated fires due to the difficult access by the highways. During the fire of the Croatia they got to set off mine anti-person of the war of the Balkan Mountains. In this fire, died 20 casualites.

Canary Islands: In the Canary Islands there was the greatest fire of all Spain. In this fire died 5 peoples, and more of 400 animals.

Every of this accidents, were caused by natural causes or incendiary or pyromaniacs.

AIR ACCIDENT OF SAO PAULO

The last day 18 of July, an airplane of Portoalegre with destiny Sao Paulo had an accident when landing in Sao Paulo, the airplane left of the higway, and crashed with a building that had a powerboat inside, in the accident died 250 people, was only possible to be identified to less of 5% people of that traveled in the flight. The specialist thinks that it could have had a failure in the airplane. Also the specialists thinks that the accident could be had due to badly been of the higway. Days previous to the accident, another airplane había had problems when landing on the same higway on which the airplane crashed.

Podcast is a digital audio file, that it is placed in Internet to be able to hear it from any part, in the Podcast they are like Blog's in which instead of writing it is spoken, some even do them as if outside a program of radio, putting music. Another advantage of the Podcast is that they are possible to be listened in any place with no need to have cover. Also there is Podcast of video. There is Podcasts on many subjects, like for example comics or radio transmissions. The Podcasts can be listened in the computer or MP3 reproductors. All this can be unloaded gratuitously or paying money . The Podcasts uses a system calledsyndication, by which they acquire the rights of songs and etc. and redistributes them by another means, this belongs to the family of the RSS. This is a great advance, the bad thing is that a program is needed to make it work and thus to be able to lower to music and sounds and etc.

MALLRATS

A time ago, the boys and girls of 2º of that we saw in English class of a film very amused call “Mallrats”, the film treated on two boys to whom their girlfriends left to them, and they decidian to go to the commercial center to recover them. The film was very amused, the director of the film is Kevin Smith, a director of 37 years who began to make films in years 90. Kevin Smith wrote a script for Million Dollar Baby, has a store of comics called "" Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash”. Also there are many interesting curiosities on his films because for example in all her films the protagonist has a friend who wears a cap the other way around, her films are: Clerks (1994), Mallrats (1995), Persecuting Amy (1997), Dogma (1999), Jay and Bob the Quiet one counteratack, (2001) A girl of Jersey (2004), Clerks II (2006).

The Bullying is I mistreat that it is received during the time of the adolescence, th I mistreat can as much be physical as psychological, it is a quite serious and common problem right now anywhere in the world.

The kids of 2º Eso, we have been seeing the film of Dracula in class of English, original version with subtitles in Spanish. The Christmas in other countries

In other countries, the Christmas are seemed to those of Spain, they only change the kings of East. For Example:

In Italy, not are Kings, is a witch. And in Britain or United States are Saint Claus.
In Germany, for example, the day of after the supper of Christmas Eve, the children wait for with impatience the gifts. The Underground Accident:
The last week of Jule a underground train of Valencia it had an accident due to the failure of the braking, many conductors had complained which it did not work well. Everything was because they did not want to have to pay to repair the train, because of that were 40 died and a pile of wounded. In my opinion, they must long ago have repaired the train.
